The Japan Council of Shopping Centers (JCSC) was established in April, 1973 to promote a better lifestyle for consumers and stimulate local communities through the development of shopping centers. JCSC was subsequently approved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (formerly the Ministry of International Trade and Industry) as an incorporated association in April, 1975, and was on April 1, 2012 converted into a general incorporated association focusing on activities in the interest of both the Council members and the general public.
The Council lends assistance to members through its’ seven branch organizations and 10 expert committees on a wide range of topics that are aimed at overcoming various obstacles to successful management. Our diverse service menu is supplemented by active contributions to local social and community development activities.
We generate activities whenever and wherever we see SCs having a challenge, as we want to deliver helpful services to our members.
