Report on the Monthly Sales Statistical Survey of Shopping Centers
  October 2007

Sales SC Up 0.02% this October
Estimated Total SC Sales Figure Totals 2,246.5 Billion Yen
(Up 0.9% Compared with Same Month Last Year)

Outlook

Sales of previously established shopping centers rose 0.02% in October compared with figures for the same month last year.
Slightly warm weather continued to weaken demand for autumn goods.
In addition, although this month having one holiday (Sunday) less than last year proved to be a negative factor, renewals and shopping center events boosted overall sales whereby sales improved by 0.8points when compared with previous month.
Classification by tenant type revealed that tenants claiming favorable results were women's apparel and service-related businesses.
As for anchor tenants' sales, sales of fresh and processed foodstuffs showed favorable results.
