Japan Council of Shopping Centers (JCSC) was established in 1973 to promote a better lifestyle and to stimulate local communities. The Council, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2003, now boasts over 1,000 members who run over 2,700 shopping centers. The shopping Center industry today accounts for 20% of total retail sales in Japan.
The Council lends assistance to members through its' seven branch organizations and 11 expert committees on a wide range of topics that are aimed at overcoming various obstacles to successful management. Our diverse service menu is supplemented by active contributions to local social and community development activities.
We generate activities whenever and wherever we see SCs having a challenge, as we want to deliver helpful services to our members.
